Entry Eighty Nine: Getting closer

Hi yes I am alive, and I hope you are too. It's been a good couple of weeks. Pretty hard at times but eh that's just life.

We had transfers and Elder Hunting and I stayed together! Very grateful for that. Now it just means we have the responsibility to cook this transfer haha

We put our friend, Brooklyn, on date last week, but she already blocked us and she has been dropped. Felt good for the one evening we had her committed for baptism. But we do have a lot of other cool friends and we meet cool people every day! The people in the south are awesome :】

I'm sure there's lots of fun moments I've had but honestly I've been staring at the screen for like 10 minutes trying to think of things to write and got nothing haha. It's getting harder to remember things to write about, but that's ok, because sometimes life can feel mundane.

It all goes back to the classic truth that there is opposition in all things (2 Nephi 2:11). Sometimes life is very thrilling! But other times you just go about your regular routine. Without one side of the coin we couldn't appreciate the other.

And honestly I've been learning and growing a lot in these past weeks. Like currently I'm reading a book all about what it means to teach by the spirit. Fascinating stuff! I'm also trying to learn how to be more effective in helping friends attend sacrament meeting.

I am grateful that life is a journey. It's not just the action-packed scenes we see on the big screen, but also the quiet peaceful moments with those we love. It's the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between.

Above all I am grateful for a Savior who not only cooked this life up for us, but gives it purpose through his Atonement. Jesus Christ truly lives.

I close with these words in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Love you all,

     -Elder Clayton
