Entry Forty Four: Days Never To Be Remembered 😭

 Howdy howdy! How are all y'all's lovely faces doing? As for me, things are great! We had transfers last week, and Elder Hales and I are staying together here in the Lebanon 3rd ward, which is AMAZING because I love this area and my companion so much!


Lowkey, I can’t remember much about this past week though 💀
I used to keep a pretty detailed journal, and then I got lazy and it turned to a skimpy journal, and then eventually turned into a nonexistent journal (Laziness got me like I was Lahonti I guess (Alma 47:18)). 

Life can honestly feel like nothing is happening and that time is just passing us by. However, like Elder Stevenson said in his October 2024 conference address:

“…I wish to speak to you of the rising generation, to invite you to imagine how exciting this [current] decade, one never to be forgotten, can be for you.”

I think part of life's purpose is to make the most of the mundane; to not take the things we see everyday for granted. Lehi of old once taught us that “men are, that they might have joy.” Life is so beautiful, and we literally just need to open our eyes. 

I testify that Jesus Christ came to earth, suffered and died, and then rose from the grave so that this life would have meaning. He experienced your heartbreak, your pains, and your sorrows, all that so you don't need to walk through them alone. He made it so that you could watch a beautiful sunset, laugh till your stomach hurts, or even learn how to tie your shoes. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Now as for the week: 
     - We met a cool guy named Nick by reactivating people previously taught. He came to church! Unfortunately it was in the other ward, and we might need to pass him off to them soon 😕

     - We invited some homie to church and he just threw up his arms and yelled, “EVEN AT THE PARK?!?!” 🤣

     - Us in Lebanon 3rd talked to at least 100 people every day (including Sunday and Monday). The zone also kept up momentum during transfer week, so we were able to get the ZLs to make a music video for us. Straight 🔥 if you ask me

     - Lastly, the weather warmed up a bit and we got good fall temperatures 🍂

I have lost, I have failed; got my own share of mistakes. I need you, Lord, I need you now. Keep me safe in your embrace. I am just but a man. Would you take me as I am? I know you would, I know you can; you can make me a better man.
