Entry Fifty Six: Oh, I wouldn’t say saved, more like under new management

Well there, another week has passed, hasn’t it? Why hello again! Hope you are doing well wherever you are. Let’s get into it, shall we?

To begin, I got yoinked from my happy place in Lebanon and was sent to little ole Newport as a District Leader! This place is absolutely incredible, but it comes with its cost haha.

The opposition has been weirdly strong this week, and my new companion (Elder Painter) and I are getting a really good laugh out of it. We’re taking the new approach of whenever someone tries to bash us we will just tug on the collars of our shirts and gulp loudly. I’ll update you all on how it goes.

My new district is phenomenal. What’s funny was that I was the only person added to the district, but they have accepted me in graciously 😊

There’s not much else, so I want to share one of my favorite scriptures that Elder Painter showed me this week.

“And Ammon said, Yea, and he looked down upon all the children of men; and he knows all the thoughts and intents of the heart; for by his hand were they all created from the beginning.” (Alma 18:32)

Now, I’m not gonna lie. I’m a bit terrified by my new assignment; this is the most responsibility I’ve ever been trusted with. But that fear all goes to waste when I get to see others through the lens that God sees them with. More importantly, God sees me through this lens.

We are all God’s children. We all will have chances to serve and be served. That makes it so easy to love the people I’m around, and when there’s that love there is no room for fear of messing up in any way. What can you do this week to foster more love for those around you? Ponder these things, then pray for charity and act! I testify that Christ, the fountain of all righteousness will help you because He loves you! In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

In mem’ry of the crucified, our Father, we have met this hour. May thy sweet spirit here abide, that all may feel its glowing power.
