Entry Thirty Nine: Flirt to Convert

Hello again! Welcome back to the best series you’ve ever read, all about me! I’m just joking, it’s not just about me. But, I hope y’all had a phenomenal week wherever you may be!

To begin, no, I’m not actually using the forbidden tactics of PMG ch 14, but it sure as heck feels like it with our teaching pool 🤣

We discovered a small university campus in our area and decided to hit it up. We’ve met a lot of people who are honestly pretty prepared to hear about the gospel. The main issue being that all of them are basically young, single, and (hopefully) virtuous girls. However, Elder Hales and I are locked, and it’s a lot of fun teaching people our age. Highly recommend 👌

We had zone conference this week, which is always a great refresher. Even better, it took place in our zone for once, so the drive was super short for once!

I got to go on another exchange with Elder Gardner, and we taught soooo many lessons with a member participating. One of them was somewhat of a bash (he had a lot of questions, but was coming from a prideful attitude), however, we had the GOAT Hagan with us. All 3 of us were testifying super powerfully, it was awesome!

I’m not sure who needs to hear this, but I want to share one of my favorite verses from the New Testament. For context, this is the story of Zaccheus, a chief publican, which that alone garnered a lot of discontent towards him. On top of that, he was short lol. However, he knew of Christ, and had faith in him. One day, he sees Jesus walking down the road, but there are too many people in the way for Jesus to be able to see him. The solution? Climb into a tree of course! Christ sees Zaccheus and bids him down. Zaccheus proudly tells Jesus of his good works and faith, and the Savior humbly applauds him. He then hits us with this absolute banger:

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. (Luke 19:10)

I’m certain at some point Zaccheus felt lost in the crowd. I’m sure he felt opposition, being a publican, and it was demeaning to him. The world beats us and breaks us down, but the Savior comes to pick us up and to heal us. I testify to you that he knows what you’re going through. He is so painfully aware, when you go through hard times, he weeps alongside you. He is in relentless pursuit of you, and will never stop trying until you are safely in his presence. Of these things I close, in the name of the beloved, Jesus Christ, amen.

In the garden, Jesus suffered ev’ry sin and ev’ry woe— bleeding drops from ev’ry pore, that we might forgiveness know. Jesus sacrificed His body on the cross in bitter pain— freely gave His life for us so that we would live again. Now I come before the altar, off’ring Him my broken heart, seeking for the precious gifts His Atonement can impart.

Lowkey top 3 new hymns ⬆️

I love you all, and I know that the Savior loves you even more! Hope this next week rocks 😎
